What Sets Caragiulos Apart from Other Restaurants in Sarasota?

The answer to the question “What Sets Caragiulos Apart from Other Restaurants in Sarasota?” is something other business and restaurant owners, especially those whose menu includes Italian cuisine, would like to know. Perhaps the best answer is to take a dream from the clouds to the ground and do whatever it takes to make that dream a reality.

Although it isn’t cited specifically, perhaps the reason Tony Caragiulo and his family departed New York for Florida was climatic; however, we do know that while driving around Sarasota in 1989, they espied the perfect location and set out to introduce the best of their native Italian cuisine to the rest of America. Their New York experience in the bakery business is kept alive every day as Mama Anna Caragiulo prepares breads including biscotti and focaccia from scratch.

Caragiulos occupies a beautiful, majestic Spanish/Mediterranean architecture building situated 12 minutes from Sarasota’s airport and one block from its main downtown bus stop. Lunch and dinner ranging from pasta to seafood is served 7-days a week at the bar, a dining room table or on the pet-friendly patio.

Winner of Trip Adviser’s 2015 Certificate of Excellence Award, Caragiulos features homemade mozzarella cheese and Nutella cheesecake.
