Our Caragiulos Italian-American Restaurant has been serving authentic Italian cuisine from handed-down family recipes since 1989. Dad Tony Caragiulo and his five sons came to Florida from Brooklyn, New York, to find a location for opening an Italian restaurant. They spent two weeks traveling around Florida and had no luck until Dad spotted the vacant stucco storefront on Palm Avenue, which he immediately knew was the answer.

Mrs. Caragiulo still bakes the biscotti, and the bread and mozzarella are made right here. We prepare our inventive meals with the finest Italian ingredients, much from local companies.

We are proud that Caragiulos has become one of Sarasota’s most popular eateries, and it was a pleasure when DineSarasota’s Forks and Corks gave us a “Best In Show” on January 28, 2014.

Dining at our restaurant is like a gathering in the home of good friends. Open seven days a week, we are ready to delight you with such dishes as Chicken Fegatini, which is a savory Cannoli made from chicken livers and served with Shallot Marmalade; Tuna Crudo; Fennel Crusted Rare Tuna with pickled mushrooms and preserved lemon; Wild Mushroom Arancini; Stuffed Idaho Trout; and many other specialty dishes that are perfect with a sample of wine.
